Copper Scrap, Cathode & Copper Rod Supplier

Ruichuang Metal supplies the three forms of copper buyers ask for most often: Grade A bare bright copper wire scrap, electrolytic copper cathode, and oxygen-free copper rod and bar. Each lot is matched to the composition you specify and released against an inspection that you control.

Copper Products We Supply

Our copper range covers recovered feedstock and refined metal in the same shipment plan, so a buyer can consolidate a mixed container instead of maintaining three separate supplier relationships.

  • Copper wire scrap — Grade A bare bright purple copper, 99.99% Cu, second-hand recovered, supplied as stranded bundles of about 10 cm diameter with 3 mm single wires, classified under HS code 74040000.
  • Electrolytic copper cathode — Grade A plate, 99.99% Cu, produced to ASTM B115, shipped from a base with 50,000 MT monthly capacity.
  • Copper rod and bar — 99.99% pure, bright oxide-free finish, supplied as round rod or bar for conductors, busbars and electrical grounding.

Grades, Purity and Standards

Copper scrap is really graded on two things: how clean the metal is, and how predictable the analysis is. Our wire scrap is Grade A bare bright material recovered from second-hand conductor, quoted consistently at 99.99% Cu. There is no tin, solder or lacquer contamination, which is the failure mode that quietly ruins a melt and is invisible until the furnace is already charged.

Electrolytic copper cathode is supplied as Grade A plate to ASTM B115 with low oxygen content and high electrical conductivity — the combination that continuous cast rod lines and busbar producers actually need. Copper rod and bar is 99.99% pure with a bright, oxide-free surface for power transmission and grounding work.

Where Our Copper Goes

  • Wire and cable drawing
  • Power transmission and distribution equipment
  • Electrical grounding and earthing systems
  • Busbars, switchgear and transformer windings
  • Brass and bronze alloy production
  • Scrap-to-refined recycling feedstock

Inspection, Documentation and Certificates

We operate an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and release a chemical analysis report with every lot. More useful to most buyers: we support a third-party inspection agency of your choosing — SGS and BV are the two we handle most often — for pre-shipment sampling, weight verification and container sealing. You are also welcome to send your own representative to witness production.

Standard export documentation covers the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, chemical composition report and bill of lading. If your customs broker needs an additional certificate, tell us before the container is sealed and we will prepare it.

Packaging, Shipment and Order Terms

Copper wire scrap ships baled or coiled, cathode ships in strapped bundles, and rod and bar ships in straight lengths or coils. Material can be packed to your own specification if you already have a handling set-up at the receiving end.

We quote FOB and CIF from Chinese ports. Give us the destination port, the tonnage and the grade, and we will come back with a landed-cost figure rather than a bare unit price. Minimum order quantity and lead time depend on grade — ask and we will confirm against current stock.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does millberry copper scrap mean?

Millberry is the standard trade name for clean, unalloyed, uncoated copper wire with a nominal purity of 99.9% or above. It is also called bare bright. Because it is the cleanest grade of copper scrap, it carries the lowest refining loss and the highest recovery value, which is why experienced buyers specify it by name rather than asking for copper wire scrap in general.

What is the difference between copper cathode and copper wire scrap?

Cathode is refined metal produced by electrolysis and cast into plates: 99.99% Cu, consistent, and the standard feedstock for rod mills and alloy plants. Wire scrap is recovered material, graded by cleanliness and origin. Cathode gives you predictable analysis; scrap gives you a lower input cost. We supply both, and many customers buy a mix.

Do you provide SGS or BV inspection reports?

Yes. We routinely support SGS and BV pre-shipment inspection on copper lots, and we will coordinate with any other agency you nominate. Inspection is arranged under the sales agreement, and the report is issued to you rather than to us.

What is your minimum order quantity for copper scrap?

MOQ depends on grade and destination. Tell us the product, the tonnage you have in mind and the port, and we will confirm the current minimum along with the quote — we would rather give you a real answer than a generic number.

Guides for copper buyers

These pages explain the specification questions behind this category — how the grades differ, how purity is verified, and how a delivered price is built up. Read them before you send an enquiry, or forward them to whoever signs off the specification.

Need a quotation for copper?

Send us the grade, the tonnage and the destination port. You will get a landed-cost figure, not just a unit price, and you can nominate the inspection agency that releases the lot.
